HIDDEN CONSTANTINOPLE
Alternative Private Tour – Historical Peninsula
A different way to discover Istanbul’s Historical Peninsula, focused on hidden gems, unique architecture, and authentic corners away from the crowds.
Day Program
09:30 – Meeting at the hotel: pick-up from your hotel with a professional licensed Spanish-speaking guide.
- Basilica Cistern: a 6th-century underground masterpiece. We will discover its mysterious columns and the famous Medusa heads.
- Little Hagia Sophia (Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus): one of the finest examples of early Byzantine architecture, much quieter and more intimate than Hagia Sophia.
- Süleymaniye Mosque: the masterpiece of the legendary architect Mimar Sinan. Beyond its impressive architecture, it offers one of the most beautiful panoramic views over the Golden Horn.
- Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar): more authentic and manageable than the Grand Bazaar. A perfect place to discover traditional flavors, teas, spices, and Turkish delights.
- Traditional Turkish Coffee Experience: we conclude the day with Turkish coffee prepared on hot sand in a historic setting.
Lunch – Free time or a gastronomic experience at a traditional restaurant frequented by locals (optional).
17:00* – Return to the hotel: private transfer back to your hotel.
*Or until the tour ends.
